Well, let's see. The children aren't in here, are they? They must already be back there. Okay. K.

Well, I won't dismiss them if they're already back there. So if you would, take your Bibles, turn to Genesis chapter one. I appreciate Jules singing with me this morning. And I have to remember to breathe when I'm singing. I get lightheaded and I wonder, why am I getting lightheaded?

Oh, I'm not breathing. That's a problem. All right. Genesis chapter one. Last week, we started this little brief series, knowing what we believe, talking about where we find what we believe.

Where do we find what we believe? In the Bible. God's word. If it indeed is, as it claims to be, the very word of God, then it is trustworthy and it is true and it is authoritative. And we should learn it, read it, apply it, heed it to our lives.

It is the basis of what we believe as Christians. Without the word of God, then there is no Christian faith because our faith is grounded in the God who gave us this record that we might know him, that we might know his plan of redemption, that we might know his son Jesus Christ who came and rose again from the grave, that we might know salvation in him. It is all found in the pages of this book. That he is not only recorded for us, but preserved for us so that we might have the opportunity to read it, memorize it, and preach it today. This book starts out with, well, what it makes sense starting out with.

Where would you start with God's record of this world? In the beginning with the creation of this world. I have a track back on the back table. It says, why are you here and where are you going? And that's something that so many people in this world have not asked themselves.

Why am I here and where am I going? And one of the important parts of answering that question is answering this question. Where did I come from? How did I get here? Because that's going to tell you why you are here.

And that is vitally important to the world today. And God begins his word, his record with telling us where we came from and how we got here, and thus why we are here. So Genesis one. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light, and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness he called night, and the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters.

Let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament. The word firmament means a space between. God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so. God called the firmament heaven, and the evening and the morning were the second day.

So when you look up during the day, you are looking into the firmament. That blue sky, those clouds up there, that's all that's the firmament. Verse nine. God said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear, and it was so. God called the dry land earth, and the gathering together of the sea of the waters called he seas.

And God saw that it was good. And God said, let the earth bring forth grass and herb yielding seed and fruit, tree yielding fruit after his kind whose seed is in itself upon the earth, and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, tree yielding fruit whose seed was in itself after his kind. And God saw that it was good, and the evening and the morning were the third day. God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night.

Let them be for signs and for seasons. For days and years, let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and it was so. God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. So the greater light would be the sun, the lesser light would be the the moon that we know reflects the light from the sun, and the stars, all those other little points of light you see up there when you look up at the sky at night.

If you don't live in the middle of town where you look up and you go, oh, look, I see about seven stars up there. I grew up out in the middle of nowhere in the country and you looked up and you saw millions. I I missed that a little bit. But that brings us back to verse 17. Let's see.

No. Yeah. Verse 17. God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good, and the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and the fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind and every wing fell after his kind. And God saw that it was good. So on the fifth day, God created all everything that lives in the seas and those things that fly in the air. He even created great whales.

So whales, which are mammals, were created on the same day as minnows that are fish. Okay? That's the way God made it. Verse 22, God blessed them saying, be fruitful, multiply, fill the waters and the seas, and let the fowl multiply in the earth. And then in the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

And God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle and creeping thing, the beast of the earth after his kind, it was so. God made the beast of the earth after his kind, the cattle after their kind, everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and God saw that it was was good. The beast of the earth is generally understood to be those things which are not domesticatable, and the cattle, those things which are domesticated or would be. And then verse 26, God said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image.

In the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which spawned the face of the earth and every tree which is the fruit of the tree yielding seed. To you, it shall be for meat, for food.

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat. And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. In the Hebrew, it says good good. It was good good.

Okay? Even better than all the days before. In the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus, the heavens and the earth were finished and all the hosts of them. And on the seventh day, God ended his work from which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work which he had made.

Let's go to the Lord in prayer once more. Dear heavenly Father, thank you, Lord, for this day. Thank you, Lord, for your word. Thank you for Jesus Christ, our savior. Thank you this beautiful world that you've made for us, and thank you for the life that you have given to us that we might serve you and bring glory to you.

Lord, bless our service, we pray. May you be honored above all things. In Jesus' name. Amen. You would look up here on the screen.

Hebrews eleven three. Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. I want to take just a moment and look at this one verse that looks back to Genesis chapter one and God's creation. And notice a few things that are emphasized here by the writer of Hebrews. Number one, belief in creation does take what?

It does take faith. It requires faith. Why? Because you were not there. We were not there to see God create this world.

We were not there thousands of years ago to see what God did. Therefore, we must choose to trust in God's account. And that requires what? That does require faith. Faith in God, faith in his word.

By the way, no scientist was there. No human being until Adam was created was there to see it or study it or to record it. Only who? Only God. So only God can give us an eyewitness account of what happened when he made the world.

And he didn't have to, but he did. And so we hold it in our hands. But it does take faith. Number two, we see in this verse, God created the world by the words of his mouth. The worlds were framed by the word of God.

The word framed is the same word for made or created, formed. They were formed by the words of his mouth. That is by the communication of his sheer will alone. He decided, he spoke, and it what? And it happened.

He said, let there be light and there was light. That is the record that he has given to us. To say that it happened another way would be to go against the clear revelation of God. God said let there be light and and there was light. That is how it happened.

Not only did Moses write it at God's direction in Genesis, but the writer of Hebrews concurred as many as many others did in the New Testament. Number three, God created the universe from what? So the things which are seen were not made of things which do what? Appear. What does that phrase mean?

Well, that phrase means this. God created the word ex nihilo. There's a good Latin word for you. Ex nihilo. That means out of nothing.

God didn't require a previous substance to take to form. He created it. He brought it forth by the words of his mouth, by his own sheer will, out of nothing. There was nothing but God, and then God spoke and it came into existence. That is the teaching of scripture.

There was no antimatter that collided and went boom. God declared it and it came into being from nothing more than the mind and will of God. Now isn't that hard to believe? No. Makes more sense than trying to figure out where the antimatter came from and why it went boom.

And how that some great explosion of some unknown substance resulted in a nearly infinitely complex universe that we live in. Because explosions do not result in infinitely complex arrangements, but very chaotic ones. And yet the universe we live in is complex beyond our imagination. As we look out at our galaxy that we live in, the Milky Way galaxy, you can go to a neutron microscope and find that the very atoms that make up your body are nearly as complex as the Milky Way galaxy in which our solar system resides. It is beyond our belief and understanding how complex indeed this universe is.

It seems to make a whole lot more sense that a god of great power and wisdom designed it than it is the result of an explosion of something that we don't know where it came from. It does take faith. No. You cannot prove it, but we do have an eyewitness that was there that recorded it. That's a whole lot better than the evolutionists have, isn't it?

An attack on the creation of the world by the direct act of God is a frontal assault on the Christian faith and one which Satan has been fighting for more than a century. Actually, many centuries, but in earnest over the last, particularly in the classrooms, the museums, and the pulpits of our nation. Satan has been trying to destroy our faith by destroying our faith in the creation of the world by the direct act of God. You look at the great decline in church attendance over the past three generations, the loss of interest in the Lord and his word, gross increase in immorality and violence in our society, you will find at the root of it a departure from faith in the almighty creator God to whom humanity is accountable. What the enemies of God has sought to do is to convince the younger generations that they are just animals.

Animals that live and die, and that's it. There is no God. There is no one to whom you are accountable. You are just a higher form of primate, and that is it. Not made in the image of God, that there is no judgment after death.

Therefore, there's no one you're accountable to. The mantra of such a movement is that I am my own God. I make my own rules. You can't tell me what to do. Everything is relative.

That's your truth. If it feels good, do it. In the words of scripture, the book of Judges, everyone everyone did that which was right in his own eyes. And we are seeing the result of that in our world today. Everyone doing that which is right in their own eyes because they have discarded the God of the word.

That does not change the fact that one day they will stand before him and they will bow the knee. This is where we have arrived in society, particularly in our institutions of higher learning where the atheists, humanists, pagans have made their home and exalted themselves as judges and experts. Having rejected the God of scripture, having not chosen the fear of the Lord, they instead, as Paul points out in Romans one, professing themselves to be wise, they have become what? Fools. The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.

Professing themselves to be wise, they have become fools and worse, pawns of the devil to turn the hearts and minds of the youth away from the God of the Bible. You want to destroy people's faith? Start with Genesis chapter one. Start there. And so that's where they have started.

Because if Genesis chapter one is not true, if God did not make this world, if you are not his creation, then none of the rest of the book matters. And this is why they are so angry with those who would challenge them, particularly in public. Their cause is riding on their ability to silence the voice of the creator from the ears of the people that he has made. We must not comply. We must shout it from the rooftops.

We must stand firmly upon it, beginning with Genesis one. In Genesis one, we are told who created the world. In the beginning, who? God created the world. God, meaning the almighty supreme one of which there is only one because he is the supreme one.

He is God and he is the creator God. In Genesis chapter two, he is introduced as the Lord God. Lord being in all capitals. Why? Because that is his name.

There is one God and his name is we don't know exactly how to pronounce it because the Hebrews. For fear of pronouncing it wrong or offending God, refuse to pronounce it. So some call him Jehovah and some call him Yahweh and some call him Yehovah. The fact is it is his name. And his name, as we're told in Exodus chapter three, means I am that I am.

What does that mean? His name means I am, period. He is the only uncaused cause. He is the only thing in this universe that we reside in that has always been and will always be. God did not come from somewhere.

He has just always been. He did not have a mother and father. He was not created. He has always been. You say, well, that's kind of hard to understand.

Well, true. But if you don't believe in an eternal God that has always been, then you must believe in an eternal something because something exploded to make this universe. Where did that something come from? It makes more sense to believe an eternal God, does it not, who made the world in which we live. The Holy Spirit is referred to in verse two of chapter one.

The spirit of God hovered above the face, moved upon the face of the waters. In John chapter one, we're told that Jesus Christ not only was there, but Jesus Christ is the one who created the world. Thus, as John one emphasizes emphatically, Jesus is God. Jesus being God the son. John one one, in the beginning was the word.

The word was with God. The word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were, what? Made by him.

Without him was not anything made that was made. Colossians one sixteen and seventeen. For by him whose him hymns there is a reference again to Jesus. For by him were all things created that are in heaven, that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created by him and for him. All things that inhabit this universe were created by the direct act of Jesus Christ, God, the Son was there and he created all things, visible and invisible.

Hebrews writer of Hebrews agrees, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the, what, the worlds. It's interesting if you look in your Bibles in Genesis one twenty six, you'll notice something kind of odd. Verse 26. And God said, let what? Us.

Now wait a second. Let us? Isn't there one God? Yes. What's the let us part?

Let us make man in our image after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the And so verse 27, God created man in, what? His own image. Verse 26, it says us. Verse 27, it says his.

Why? Because God is a trinity. One God, three persons, father, son, and holy spirit, all involved in the creation of the world. We see that in the very first what? The very first chapter of Genesis.

You say, why do you believe in the trinity? Well well, it's it's all over in the New Testament. But you know something? It's actually seen also in the what? In the Old Testament in Genesis chapter one.

So who created the world? God did. The Lord. The I am that I am made all that is. Why did he make it?

That's a good question. Why why did God create the world? If he created it, if he made it, why did he do it? Well, Revelation four eleven says this, thou art worthy, o Lord, to receive glory and honor and power for thou hast created all things and for thy what? Thy pleasure they are and were created.

Why are you here? You are here at his pleasure and for his pleasure. He is the potter and we are the what? Clay. Now doesn't that put a little different spin on who we are and why we're here than most of the world recognizes?

The God of the universe finds pleasure in you. He made you for his pleasure and for his glory. You are precious to him. And we're here to please him because he is the potter. We are the clay.

That's why we're here. Why are you here? You're here to bring glory to your maker. You're here to enjoy this vast universe he made and bring glory to him. How did he do it?

Well, we already mentioned he created it out of nothing. Hebrews eleven three. Through faith, we understand the worlds were framed by the word of God, so things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. He spoke. He said, let there be light and there was light.

Psalm thirty three six repeats, by the word of the Lord were the heavens made and all the host of them by the what? By the breath of his mouth. He spoke and it happened. He willed it to be. He spoke and it was.

Period. It's what the Bible says. It says it. I believe it. A miracle?

Yes. How else did we get here? An accident? I prefer a miracle to an accident. One makes sense.

The other does not. One gives us purpose. The other, only emptiness and confusion. Why did God record it? Because he didn't want us to live in emptiness and confusion.

He wanted us to know that he made us, that he loves us, and why he put us here. Someone with great power and wisdom created it, designed it just like the phone that I hold in my hand, except trillions of times more complex. Nobody nobody would claim that this phone got here by accident as a result of a random explosion. You don't put a bomb in a junkyard, explode it, and get a Boeing seven forty seven that flies. Doesn't work.

Doesn't work. Laws of science do not support it. Something that is complex requires a designer, a designer who made it. According to his will, to function for his glory. He made it from nothing by the words of his mouth.

He created the world in what? Six days. For in six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath and hallowed it. Exodus twenty eleven. Six days.

No reason to think they were anything other than twenty four hour days. Maybe they were thirty hour days. Maybe they were twenty hour days. Maybe it was twenty five. I don't know.

But no reason to think that they were anything other than an ordinary day. And what did the writer of Genesis, what did God put here so that we might not be confused? At the end of every day, it says what? The evening and the what? The morning were the first day, the second day, the third day, the fourth day, the fifth day.

Why? So that people wouldn't be confused. They're just ordinary days. On day one, God said, let there be what? Let there be light.

And the ball that is the earth began to rotate against the light source, making a day and a what? And a night. And the evening and the morning were the first day, And the evening and the morning were the second day. And you say, pastor, that seems weird. It says evening and morning.

We don't normally say evening and morning. We normally say what? Morning and evening. Why is it evening and morning? Well, the Hebrew day begins at 06:00 in the evening.

So to Hebrews, the evening would have preceded the what? The morning. So it's just an expression of while we would say morning and evening, they would say evening and morning because of the time when the day began on their calendar as they saw it. You say, what was the light? You see, the sun wasn't created till day number what?

Four. So how did you get day and night? Well, you know, Bible tells us. Revelation twenty one twenty three says this, and the city, that is the new Jerusalem, had no need of the, what, the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it for the glory of God did lighten it and the lamb is the light thereof. God said, let there be light.

And you know where the light came from? Came from him. And as the globe began to turn against the light that was God was emanating from the Lord God, We had day and night. We had evening and morning. And then, thus, concluded day number one, and then day number two, and day number three, and day number four.

God did not need eons of time to speak things into existence, did he? He said, let there be light and there was light. Let the oceans teem with all sorts of fish and whales and dolphins and there it was. God did not need eons of time. Why is the evolutionists so concerned with the need for eons of time?

Why why millions and billions of years? There there are two quick reasons. Let me mention them quickly. I could preach on this for another hour, and I can't do this. Mature universe.

God created Adam. An hour after God created Adam, if you met him, you would think he was probably 23 to 30 years old. How old was he? An hour. God created him mature.

If you'd looked on day number four at the land and the trees and the bushes and the grass and the flowers that were grown upon it, you would have think, boy, this took all kinds of time for for the land to form out of the waters and like the Grand Canyon at that little river. You know, it must have taken millions of years to dig that big canyon. And for those trees that look two or 300 years old, and yet they were only what? A day. A day old.

How about the stars you look up? Now with telescopes can see stars that are millions of light years away. Nay, a billion light years away. How did that happen? God did a miracle.

He created them in such a way that we can see them even though they're, what, a billion light years away. Explain that with science. I can't, and I don't have to. I don't have to explain with science how Adam looked 25 when he was an hour old. I don't have to explain with science how a tree looked 200 years old when it was only a day old.

It's a miracle. And that's okay because God does miracles. If God can create this world out of nothing, he can create galaxies a billion light years away that you can see. And that isn't a problem for him. Why did he do that?

To trick us? No. He did it because he wanted us to have the pleasure of looking up in the night sky and seeing millions of stars rather than it taking thousands and millions of years for the light to get here. Of course, that's a problem for evolutionists because they don't believe in who? Don't believe in God.

So therefore, they have a problem. How did that happen? Well, you have to believe in miracles. They don't believe in miracles because they don't believe in God, and so therefore, they have a problem. Therefore, that must have been here millions of years.

And also, the reason they're consumed with the need for eons of time is to make the impossible seem possible without God. You see, the very laws of science they try to use against us also work against too. They work against them. If they believe there is no creator, then their only solution is eons of time and aliens. Because, well, you know, things don't evolve from one thing into another like they say, so therefore, it must just have taken what?

Eons of time to make the impossible possible. And life does not come from nonlife, so I don't know how you well, some of them have gone to the alien theory. Alien seeded life here. Of course, that doesn't explain where the alien life came from that seeded life here. But with all of our great knowledge and ability, we still cannot manufacture life in the lab.

Why? Because, well, life only comes from who? Life only comes from God. Not from aliens and not from dirt. From God.

Why do they see keep sending rovers up to Mars digging in the dirt? Well, largely because they're trying to find some form of what? Life in the dirt. Why why are they consumed with that? Now I love exploration.

I love I love all that. I am I am into that. But the fact is, for most of them, it's a search for life. And why? Just out of curiosity, I don't think so.

Because they think if they find life on Mars, they can disprove what? This. You know something? If they do find life on Mars, they haven't disproved this. God can create life wherever he wanted to.

Okay? That's not a problem. However, so far, they haven't found life on Mars or anywhere else. And I doubt they will. What did God create?

Well, on day one, he created matter, earth. He created space, heavens. He created light, electromagnetic energy, and he separated the light from darkness. And day number two, he created the atmosphere, the water that was above it from the water that was beneath it. I suspect that the water that was above the canopy, the the the firmament came down during the what?

During the flood. Number three, separated the water from the land, from solid ground, and he made continents and seas. And he caused the vegetation to grow on thereon. In verse in day number four, he created all the celestial bodies to fill outer space, the sun, moon, and the stars. In day five, he created the birds to fly and the fish to swim.

And on day number six, he created land animals. Yes, even what we call dinosaurs. And he created everyone to reproduce plant and animal alike after its own what? After its own kind. After its own kind.

Therefore, roses reproduce what? Roses and orange trees reproduce orange trees and people reproduce people, and apes apes, and dogs dogs, and cats cats, and dragonflies dragonflies, and that's the way it works. God made it that way. Observation and the laws of science that have been formulated from that observation bear this out. Everything reproduces after its own kind.

Interbreeding, adaptions, mutations produce variations within a kind, but never from one kind to a what? To another. Never. The idea of one kind evolving into another flies against the laws of physics, of thermodynamics, of paleontology, of biology, of genetics in particular. There is a boundary written into our DNA and RNA codes which can't be crossed.

I wonder who put it there. The creator did. So if the world functions today like you said it would, everything reproduces after its after its kind. One thing does not go into another. Dogs do not turn into horses nor horses into dogs.

That doesn't happen. Do you think if that were remotely possible that some scientists in a lab would have created some monster by now by crossing a dog with a cat? I mean, that should be easy to do. You just take this part of the cat and dog and, you know, manipulate and put it here and produce the monster. Why haven't they produced the monster?

Because it can't be done. Because everything reproduces after its own kind. God designed an orderly system which functions according to the set rules which govern it, which only he can alter or supersede. It is those laws which make science possible, which undeniably support creation and the reproduction of animals and plants after their own kind. And finally, God created man and woman in his what?

In his image. To have dominion over all the earth, the fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and vegetation, and all of that. Unlike unlike the rest of creation, we were made in the likeness of God according to the details we'll read about in Genesis two later on. We are separated from animal life by our self awareness, called sentience, if you want, you know, heard scientific terminology, our intellect, our logic, our communication skills, our moral code, our free will, our eternal soul, and shall I go on. Yes.

We share many things in common with the animal world around us, genetically speaking. Because we were all created by the same God, we have a similar design. But unlike them, we were created in his image, and we are incredibly different than everything else around us. The earth was made for our habitation and God's glory. It was made for us, not us for it.

We have been called to fill it, to dominate it, not the other way around. And we have been entrusted with taking care of it, which corrupt man has struggled to do. And then after God made man and woman in his image, he said that it was what? Good good. It was very good.

Meaning, it was finished because he made us, because we're the purpose of it all. And then he ceased his creative work. Apart from it being altered by the fall of man into sin, the results of the worldwide flood, It has continually continued basically unaltered, functioning according to the laws of God set in place six to ten thousand years ago. Except for times when God has intervened. When Jesus was born.

When God became a what? A man. Born of a what? A virgin. That's a what?

That's a miracle. The laws of science don't allow that. But yet God intervened and Jesus was born of a virgin. The same Jesus that walked on the water. You go try that.

The same Jesus that calmed the sea with the what? The words of his mouth. The same Jesus that fed over 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish. That is a what? A miracle from the God who created it all.

And God can intervene anytime he so desires. And praise the Lord, he intervened in sending his son to die on the cross for our sins so that he could redeem us back from sin and hell. That we might be to his glory and pleasure through salvation in Christ who took our place on the cross of Calvary. Why does it matter? There is no all powerful creator alone that has the power to create and destroy the universe he has created.

That makes a terrible difference. For millions of people on this earth, they believe there is no God and there is no creator and there is no purpose and there is no life after death. And this all there is. And so that's how they act. But indeed, there is one and it does matter.

That's why God chose to tell us. That's why we have his word. You are the creation of his, and we are dependent upon him for our lives, our very breath, and accountable to him for our actions. Surely, your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay. Or shall the work say of him that made it, how made me he made me not?

Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it? He had no understanding. And yet that is what the world says today. We, the clay, have decided to question the very existence or the wisdom of the God who made us to our own detriment. Hebrews nine twenty seven is as appointed a man once to what?

Die but after this adjunct. There is a potter and we are the clay. Literally, the clay. For he formed us out of the dust of the ground. And one day, we will stand before him and give an account of what we did with this life that he gave us, and more importantly, what he we did with his son.

For he that believeth on Jesus is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God. You were created in his image. You were created for his purpose, for his pleasure, and one day you will stand before him. There is a judgment coming. That's why Genesis one is so very, very important.

Are you ready for that judgment? Have you received his son? Are you prepared? What have you done with what you were given? For even the child of God will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account of what we did with the life that he gave us.

Most importantly, where will you spend eternity? Because you were created in the image of God and you will live somewhere forever. You will enjoy the pleasures of heaven where Jesus is the light or you will be separated for him in the lake of fire. You have a choice to make. For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be what?

Be saved. Have you made that decision? I hope you have. For that's what this is all about. But it starts in Genesis one, chapter one.

It's important. Let's pray. Dear heavenly father, thank you, Lord, for this day. Thank you for your word. Ings that we read about.

Thank you, Lord, that you made us. You made us for your own good pleasure. There is a purpose in us being here. Lord, there is a God in heaven who loves us so much. He sent his son to die on the cross for our sins to that we might have eternal life in him.

And we pray, Lord, for those that are are are hearing us, that are here today or are hearing us over the Internet, Lord, that might need Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray that they would consider why they're here, but also where they're going, and that they would receive his offer of salvation today. In Jesus' name, do pray. Amen.
